POSITION SUMMARY: Quality Assurance Associates are responsible for the following procedures for the overall quality conformance of all parts from press and assembly areas on their respective shift to include Tensile testing, Auditing and Leak Testing positions. Support the Quality Department’s efforts to improve outgoing product quality and department efficiency throughout the operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exhibit safety awareness at all times, immediately reporting possible hazards or violations for corrective action.
- Perform all duties in compliance with Company directives and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA requirements or other program requirements.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
- Document daily issues on board for incoming shift.
- Communicate with other QC personnel, supervisors, operators, technicians, etc.
- Housekeeping – maintaining machines and work area.
- Perform start-up and in-process verification checks and document results.
- Perform receiving inspections and document results.
- Perform shipping and system audits as requested.
- Communicate out-of-specification findings to Production Lead.
- Assist Quality Manager and Technicians with evaluation of quality issues.
- Generate reports and records as requested.
- Participate in plant-wide safety efforts.
- Provide plant-wide support.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High Diploma/GED
- Previous manufacturing and Quality experience is preferred
- Data entry, Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision
- Drive for superior quality products
- Ability to effectively gather and present information
- Ability to use a stereoscope, hand tools and experience with CMM’s, and read specs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
