Liquid Instruments is based in San Diego, California and Canberra, Australia, where we have grown from an idea to a 50-person team. We are a fast-paced company and desire an energetic candidate that can take on distinct roles within the organization.
We are looking for a SEO Analyst to drive digital channel growth by identifying and monitoring conversion performance, ultimately contributing to the expansion of Liquid Instruments’ customer base and revenue. This position will generate digital traffic and quality lead generation by viewing, recording, analyzing, and increasing the performance of search activities, websites, and other online formats through comprehensive data conversion analytics. This SEO Data Analyst will optimize websites, content, and search functions to improve search results and increase user session length and conversion.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop optimization strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings via all digital marketing channels.
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, develop full-funnel conversion analytics, and identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, targets, and benchmarks, following best practices.
- Monitor daily performance metrics with SEO tools like Google Analytics to understand SEO strategy performance.
- Collaborate with others within the marketing department and potentially global channel partners to manage SEO strategy for Liquid Instruments.
- Manage the expenses of SEO campaigns, stay on budget, estimate monthly costs, and reconcile differences.
- Work with content marketing teams to ensure SEO practices are adopted in content creation and content marketing.
- Research competitors and implement search engine optimization recommendations.
- Create and execute a link-building strategy to improve the backlink portfolio and overall domain authority.
- Determine measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts.
- Closely collaborate with the web development team to ensure SEO best practices are followed adequately throughout website content.
- Collaborate on website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, data analytics, data sciences, statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- A background in creating full-funnel conversion reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations.
- Experience with Google and Bing’s services, including Analytics (GA4) and Webmaster Tools, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, and Google’s Keyword Tool.
- Proficiency in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, HubSpot preferred, email marketing tools, and other sales enablement technologies to measure leads, track interactions, and measure performance.
- The ability to deploy effective local and long-tail search strategies.
- A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO.
- Experience in building inbound organic search traffic, improving SERPs, and proven success in link-building and viral strategies.
- A functional understanding of HTML and CSS (e.g., WordPress, e-commerce apps)
- The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills.
- A solid grasp of how content marketing, blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO.
- An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry, web surveillance, and AI tools is preferred.
- Team player who can work effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
