We have a position open for a Software Development Engineer that's focused on increasing the quality of Liquid Web and Nexcess products. We're looking for someone with a knack for code that is interested in expanding our existing testing framework, building automation tests, and participating in manual testing efforts to help identify issues before they reach our customers.

This is a permanent, full-time, remote position with a salary of $65K to $80K.
Responsibilities:
- Expand our existing test automation framework and test coverage
- Develop new tests and tools for our services and products
- Create, review, and update testing and triage documentation
- Participate in issue triage and validation rotation ensuring issues are dealt with promptly
- Develop working knowledge of the entire application stack
- Assist in maintaining test environments
- Groom and prune tests (automated and manual) to ensure optimal coverage
- Collaborate with the various development teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, test features, and functionality
- Collaborate with engineers to improve the testing process.
- Assist in helping implement best practices and improve the maintainability of the projects under our care
- Configure automated tests to execute reliably and efficiently in CI/CD environments
- Track and communicate test results in a timely and effective manner
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
- Proficient in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
- Experience using Git and Docker
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- A passion for improving software/systems through testing and automation
