Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities
  • Develop an understanding of each child’s progress, routines, and interests and relay needed information to parents
  • Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants/child in our care
  • Serve meals
  • Help in the bathroom and change diapers as needed
  • Ensure play, sleep, and changing areas are kept clean

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to work a minimum of 4 hours between 7:15 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
  • Ability to lift 35-40lbs, bend, and stand
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must complete 16 hours of annual Early Childhood Education courses (paid)
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and have a current background check
  • Caring individual who is passionate about teaching young children

 

Optional / Desired

  • Experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus
  • Experience in customer service
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

 

Little Explorer Montessori in Beaverton, OR has an open position for a Montessori / Preschool Teacher to join our 6-person strong team! Our work atmosphere is friendly, connected, and low-stress. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable. Starting wage is $17/hr and increases depending on work experience and educational qualifications.
