What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher position at Little People Big Dreams Learning Center?
We are in search of dynamic and experienced Lead Teachers for our Toddler and Preschool classes.

Required Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Teacher Certificate from Delaware First
- 12 months of experience working with children preschool age or younger in a group setting.
Job Duties:
- Prepare lesson plans.
- Plan and implement varied enrichment activities that foster development in language, mathematics, science, creative arts, emotional and social skills, physical health, and the individual approach to learning.
- Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Take responsibility for care and hygiene of children.
- Communicate directly and compassionately with parents.
- Be willing to engage with current and prospective parents and families with regard to programs, curriculum, safety, and qualifications.
- Be responsive to needs of parents and families.
- Maintain classroom records.
- Provide care and support to children at all times.
- Direct and participate with Assistant Teachers, Classroom Helpers, and Interns to maintain cleanliness and order throughout program.
- Review and possess knowledge of each individual child’s classroom files particularly with regard to their medical and developmental histories.
- Complete First Aid/CPR training periodically.
- Understand responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
- Comply with all governmental regulations regarding the care of children.
- Maintain accurate reporting/keep the Director, Management staff, and Owners informed of all necessary information regarding the care and safety of children.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation according to OCCL requirements.
- Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other teachers/staff are not available.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events, and parent meetings as requested.
- Fulfill annual training requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of children and families personal information and center files/information at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
