Full Time - Play Receptionist

We are looking for a Full Time Play Receptionist to join our team. Little Play Place is a busy children’s indoor play and party facility catering to families and professional organizations. We are open 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, for play time and specialize in kids parties and events.

What we are looking for…

We are looking for a friendly, creative, and outgoing person with young child experience and a passion for great customer service that will complement our team. Little Play Place is a fast paced, busy, energetic environment. You should be able to multi-task. This job will require you to be able to stand for long periods of time.

We all love a great team player so be prepared to jump in and help wherever required with a great attitude. You should be comfortable working with children and their families. Our busy party and event calendar is always changing so a flexible schedule and positive work attitude is a must.

The hours are Tuesday - Sunday from 8:45am - 4:30pm. Please do not apply for our full time position if you can not fulfill this requirement. We do have part time positions available.

Job Responsibilities: The work below is representative of the scope of work performed within this job classification. Individual job duties will vary based on work assignment.

• Open/close facility
• Greet and checking guests in and informing guests on available memberships/promotions and upcoming classes
• Take in daily entry fee from patrons
• Provide general supervision and assisting children with playing in play area
• Enforcing program rules and safety regulations, following proper emergency procedures
• Assisting with planning and overseeing classes, birthday parties, and special events
• Properly fill out injury paperwork, if necessary
• Clean/pickup in play area and bathrooms as needed during open times and at end of shift
• Restock supplies and retail area
• Answer questions and assist patrons during open times
• Close/lock facility

Job Requirements:

• Available to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Must be FUN, creative, upbeat and great with kids!
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-20 pounds during scheduled shift.
• Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift.
• Keeping the playground clean! Cleaning is a big part of this job. We constantly straighten up and sanitize all toys and equipment. Regularly cleaning and checking in on the bathroom. Keeping all counters, tables, windows clean.
• Needs to be reliable, punctual, neat and tidy appearance, follows dress code and comes to work ready to have some fun!

• Children’s games and activities
• Hosting group activities such as playgroups, classes, and workshops

• Knowledge of Mindbody software
• Knowledge of graphic design, Wordpress, social media, or newsletters

• Having a BIG imagination

Experience:

• Early childhood education (Preferred)
• Possess a High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED)
• Be at least 18 years old
• CPR Certified (We will work with you to obtain your CPR certification)
