Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher will support the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children.
- Provide support in creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Assist with meal and snack times, diapering, and potty training routines.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess individual learning needs and progress of each child.
- Support in maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- We are looking for a few floaters to go in all of our classrooms, as well as an Assistant teacher in our toddler room and our prek room.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Understanding of literacy education and age-appropriate teaching methods.
