About us:
Little Trailblazers is a play-based program looking for a lead teacher who exemplifies creativity, is positive , outgoing, nurturing, and fun-loving to help execute the philosophy and vision of our school. We are open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
You will supervise the children, maintain a safe and healthy environment, and support emotional and social development, encourage understanding of others, and positive self-concept. The successful applicant should be ready to think creatively, assist with activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy.
The ideal candidate will be understanding, attentive and caring to needs and have a passion for the education field. In addition, maintain positive staff and family relationships. Must have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Strong communication and time management skills
Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
Able to lift 20 – 40 pounds
CPR and First Aid Certified
Negative TB Test
At least 47 ECE Credits
2 Years of Lead Teacher Experience
Food Handler’s Permit
Basic STARS Certification (30 Hours)
Job Duties and Tasks:
- Ensure that Little Trailblazers meets or exceeds licensing and accrediting requirements and maintain positive relationships with all regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
- Support children’s emotional and social development, encourage understanding of others, and positive self-concepts.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with coworkers and families.
- Assist with activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy.
- Dress children and change diapers.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Sanitize and clean toys, classrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms.
- Supervise children in classrooms and playground.
- Keep the classroom clean and organized.
- Ongoing development of the program.
- Monitor condition of all the licensed space, kitchen, storage rooms, and all equipment to ensure all safety standards are met.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
