Director

We are looking for an Experienced Child Care Director to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our facilities. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination. This individual will closely with the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Director for a licensed center
• Must have a valid Directors License from the state of Texas
• Familiar with Texas Rising Star.
• Must have knowledge of Procare Software and Procare Engage Parent Connect.
• Must have knowledge of state food programs. FP Performance.
• Able to manage 25 to 50 staff members.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment. (Multitask, Quick thinker/Problem Solver)
• Excellent communication skills. (Parents and Staff)
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintain a center meets or exceeds the Texas Minimum Standard guidelines and keep all permits and licenses current.
• Conduct tours for prospective parents, enroll new families, and assist the management’s efforts to quickly ramp up and meet the academy’s enrollment goals.
• Candidate must be accurate in work, punctual, organized, personable, reliable and hard working.
• Professional experience in early childhood administration and prior experience in the classroom.
• Familiar with TX Minimum Standard Requirements.
• Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Driver license in good standing.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Potential Candidate Must be Available During Hours of Operation.

Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible to oversee the day to day care and education for children while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and educational development, safety and welfare of the children and staff.
• Work diligently on increasing enrollment via touring and marketing.
• Manage staffing issues, including handling all staff paperwork and discussion with parents (as needed).
• Oversee daily operations of the center and performing daily visits in each of the classrooms.
• Ensure classrooms are adhering to the curriculum.
• Creation of the employee schedule and scheduled activities.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a driver’s license.
• Must have previous management experience and at least 2 year of experience working in a licensed child care facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Child Licensing Directors License (Current)
• Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply.
• CPR/1st Aid Pediatric Certification (Preferred)
• Must know CACFP. Food Program.
