Insomniac’s premier annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the largest multi-day music festival in North America, and attracted more than 400,000 fans over three days in October 2021. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella, and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.
THE ROLE
As an App Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize app-based solutions that generate interest in Insomniac’s products, marketing campaigns, events, and properties. This role will deliver on-time, quality-driven code builds, strategize and manage multiple development projects, and provide direction on design and the software development process. You would be responsible for writing clean, secure, reusable code while working closely with our internal team and offshore development team. This is not a fully remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop visually engaging and accessible experiences for mobile devices
Participate in user research and testing to better understand our customers
Share responsibility for testing, releasing, and maintaining our mobile apps
Communicate and document architectural designs and requirements
Provide thoughtful feedback to others on the team
Help interview and recruit more talented engineers to Insomniac
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years of experience developing mobile applications for iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Objective C) / Flutter
3 years of experience with other languages such as Python, Go, PHP, etc.
Experience working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
6 years of work experience
Understanding of core CS concepts, such as data structures and algorithms
Strong design and architecture skills
Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
Self initiates and is able to work independently and drive multiple competing projects
Thrive in a collaborative environment that allows you to interact effectively with others
Portfolio of work examples required. Must be able to show us products you have shipped. If you have a GitHub profile, we’d love to see that as well.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
Must be able to adapt to various temperature & climates
Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
