Job Posting for Structural Design Engineer at Live Oak Engineering

Coordinates, designs, reviews and submits proposals, and serve as the Engineer of Record on a variety structural engineering projects.

A BS or MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 5-10 years’ experience in a position with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
PE registration preferred
AutoCAD, Revit preferred.
RAM Steel and Frame
Ram Elements
ENERCALC
Focus on light gauge steel
Experience in the analysis and design of steel, light gauge steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures for static and dynamic loading from foundation to super structure
Experience in the use of finite elements on complex structures and use of application software in structural design.
Extensive experience in the planning review, layout and details of contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, field inspections and investigations; independent usage of resources in the application of code requirements and preparation of technical reports.
Experience in the understanding of industry and regulatory practices and trends.
