What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Dentist position at LiveHealthy Dental?
- Ensure all work is compliant with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines
- Assess the patients’ overall dental health and look for presence of dental diseases, by thoroughly examining the patients’ teeth using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments
- Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate
- Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
- Manage dental hygienists, associate dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery/DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine/ DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required
- A minimum of two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required
- Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
- Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS, and NPI
- Possess strong bedside manner, and great communication skills
