The Director of Residential Services coordinates and develops programs within Residential Services. The Director assures that all methods of clinical practice and performance conform to written established policies and procedure and maintains documentation for all regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Maintains administrative and clinical oversight of all responsible departments.
Provides clinical supervision for residential staff on a continuing basis.
Facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach in planning services for patients.
Coordinates treatment with all clinical disciplines to assure that patients receive quality effective treatment.
Maintains an effective system of records and reports.
Assures that patient records are kept current and meet the standards according to policies and procedures of the Foundation.
Assists in the development of a financial budget to implement developed objectives.
Develops annual program goals and objectives in conjunction with the Vice President of Clinical Services.
Continually assesses needs of staff in areas of professional growth and development, provides training when appropriate and assures that staff meets necessary requirements for appropriate licensure and certification status.
Recruits and hires qualified staff as appropriate.
Participates in the establishment of facility clinical policies.
Implements standards for the measurement of the quality and quantity of care rendered.
Implements the objectives, policies, and standards for care of patients that reflect the mission of the Foundation.
Performs liaison functions with other departments within the Foundation.
Maintains regular communication with the Director of Outpatient Services.
Provides ongoing assistance to the Vice President of Clinical Services.
Completes performance evaluations of direct reports in a timely manner.
Ensures training compliance is met within the department.
Ensures appropriate corrective action when needed.
Ensures appropriate unit staffing. Provides coverage if/when necessary. Ensures proper staffing is within budgetary constraints.
Performs other related duties as may be required or as assigned.
Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other related field.
Licensed clinician in PA or credentialed through PCB as a Certified Clinical Supervisor or actively working towards. Licensure or the Certified Clinical Supervisor credential must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes working directly with the chemically dependent.
Five (5) years of management experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, that includes supervision of staff, program planning, marketing, and fiscal responsibility with a demonstrated record of business success preferred.
Must demonstrate administrative abilities as well as possess leadership qualities.
