Orwigsburg Nursing Center is currently looking for an RN-Unit Manager to join our team of healthcare professionals.

The best suited candidate:
- Has worked at least one year as a nurse in a supervisory capacity
- Has approximately 2 years' experience in a long-term care OR physical rehab setting
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
- Possesses effective team problem solving and communication skills
The responsibilities & duties:
- Monitor and provide daily oversight of resident care in accordance with facility and state standards through supervising and directing nurse staff
- Report to the Director of nursing to ensure excellence in quality care
- Promote patient independence by establishing goals
- Educate residents and their loved ones to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills
- Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
- Protect residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
- Document resident care services by charting in patient and department records
- Promote continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Ensure nursing supply and equipment maintenance needs are met
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
