Primary Role & Responsibilities
Manage corporate and business unit accounting.
Ensure accurate financial records and transactions, maintain key accounts, and contribute to financial reporting.
Monthly journal entries, including complex one-offs.
Maintain accuracy and transparency with intercompany and elimination entries.
Manage fixed asset records and ensure proper lease accounting.
Collaborate on quarterly and annual financial statements.
Prepare audit work papers and assist with statutory filings.
Analyze financial variances and provide clear explanations.
Uphold Sarbanes-Oxley internal control standards.
Deliver efficient month-end closing procedures for key areas.
Guarantee accurate insurance accounting based on GAAP principles.
Adhere to NAIC and state insurance regulations.
Tackle special projects and ad hoc tasks (e.g., XBRL, SEC reporting).
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
4 years of relevant experience.
1 years as a Senior Accountant.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to professionalism and deadlines.
Solid understanding of GAAP and STAT accounting principles.
Strong foundation in accounting procedures.
Thrive in a team environment and take initiative.
Effective research and communication skills.
Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure is preferred.
Experience with Dynamics GP (Great Plains Dynamics) is preferred.
