Accounts Receivable Lead :
Department: : Accounting FLSA Status: : Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: :The Accounts Receivable Lead oversees the Accounts Receivable Department for a service organization with multiple clients.
REPORTS TO: :Controller
SUPERVISES: :Accounts Receivable Assistants/Specialists
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS::
- Overseeing routine department activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
- Training Accounts Receivable Specialists as needed.
- Directing workflow function for Accounts Receivable for separate entities and customers.
- Review and distribute incoming billing.
- Review daily bank deposits for accuracy.
- Work in tandem with the billing coordinators on reporting and resolving open receivable balances from billed invoices.
- Enter billing into Timberline as needed.
- Assist in scanning Accounts Receivable documents to store electronically.
- Assists other finance staff with various functions such as required.
- Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE::
- General equivalency diploma (GED) or higher required.
- 2 plus years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Supervisory experience helpful.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES::
- Organized & diligent.
- Knowledge of New York State sales tax helpful.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
- Proficient with Excel & Word
- Experience with multi-company accounting and Timberline experience a plus.
