We have a great relationship with the Veteran Affairs’ (VA) Community Care Program and we are seeking audiologists that want to join our expanding VA Community Care program.

Each of our hearing healthcare professionals works in a state of the art facility with cutting edge equipment and resources.

Livingston Hearing Aid Center (LHAC) is a 68-year-old second generation family business that employs 38 audiologists and 42 fitters and dispensers in 89 locations throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.

Qualifications :

Education : Doctor of Audiology degree preferred, but will accept Masters

Professional Experience : seeking professionals from varying levels of experience (open to recent graduates)

Job Responsibilities :

Establish rapport with and gather history from new and existing patients, conduct audiometric testing, make recommendations for communication strategies and or hearing aids and provide counseling to patients and family members.

Administer a full range of diagnostic hearing testing for adults and dispense premium hearing instruments.

Administer acoustic immittance, acoustic reflex and acoustic reflex decay, as well as a variety of special audiological procedures (e.

g., SISI, Tone Decay, and Stenger tests).

Uses the full range of behavioral and physiologic audiological diagnostic tests to assist in the differential diagnosis of auditory disorders of such diverse disease entities as otosclerosis, otitis media, cholesteatoma, tumors of the tympanum, Meniere's Syndrome, cerebellopontine angle tumors or other conductive, cochlea, and retrocochlear lesions of the auditory system.

Evaluates the functional status of the ear canal for testing purposes and provides cerumen management. The audiologist is also responsible for the evaluation of type and degree of hearing loss for patients who are unable to provide consistent and reliable responses to conventional audiometric procedures.

Accurately select monaural or binaural conventional and digital hearing aids including completely-in-the-canal through behind-the-ear hearing aids, CROS, Bi-CROS and FM integrated hearing aids.

Responsible for the instruction and counseling in the use, fitting, adjustment, and modification of all personal amplification systems.

Responsible for the instruction and counseling in use of, and recommendations for procurement of special instruments such as desk amplifiers, telephone amplifiers, Bluetooth compatible devices, FM systems, induction devices for use with phones, radios, televisions or other electronic devices necessary for communication.

Responsible for the routine inspection and repair, when indicated, of all personal amplification systems or assistive listening devices where indicated.

Responsible for completing all documentation including VA audiological evaluation reports (AER), follow-up documentation, superbills, chart notes, etc.
