Job Summary:
Must be able to identify car parts
Essential Job Duties:
1. Core Receiving: Check-in core and move core from Suppliers or Customers in accordance with the appropriate work instructions and fill out all required paperwork.
2. Core Production Pulling: Pull and soft core in the quantities specified on the production schedule to meet production schedule requirements and fill out the appropriate paperwork.
3. Core Identification: Identify incoming core in accordance with the appropriate work instructions to ensure that core can be built into the required finished goods.
4. These positions may perform other duties as assigned or fill in for others in the department or other departments as needed or requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding duties.
Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Ability to read and write. This is verified through the employment process.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to pay attention to detail.Must become qualified through LKQ's forklift testing program.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Requires continuous physical effort; short work cycles; repetitive motion work. Standing 80%, walking 20%. Lifts, pushes, pulls an average of 80 lbs. occasionally, 40 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. constantly. Exposures to atmospheric conditions, such as dust, fumes, and varying temperature extremes. Exposure to noise and various chemicals.
Equipment Used: Overhead hoists, pallet jacks, forklift.
