Position Summary:

Provides system administration and support for Radiology and Cardiology imaging systems.  Prior experience with enterprise archival and imaging systems is required.  Work within teams to discover and document the true requirement for systems and projects.  Assist with defining and documenting project goals and objectives and work to gain knowledge to support and implement new systems.  Need to have proven technical abilities to learn new systems and processes quickly and then communicate that knowledge to the end users. Prior PACS administration experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with vendors to ensure systems are current and to help define future roadmaps.
• Ensure backups and archival of images are up to date, accurate and accessible.
• Performs system administration tasks for assigned applications.
• Ensure that you are coordinating all need maintenance on servers, applications and modalities with server, network and Radiology/Cardiology teams.
• Ensure applications, servers and interfaces are kept up to date and current
• Independently researches and uses problem solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges and resolve issues and problems.
• Consistently works with management & technical resources from the IS Department, individual departments & external vendors.
• Works to lead administration, and patient care staff in the overall design, build, implementation, training documentation of new systems.
• Monitors ongoing operations and provides support of assigned applications, databases, and reports.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Coordinates and facilitates meetings and updates to ensure transparent communications.

 Requirements:

• 5 years in an analyst role in a healthcare or equivalent business setting required
• Prior experience with imaging systems in Radiology and/or Cardiology required
• Prior experience with enterprise archival and retrieval preferred
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Information, Business Administration, Engineering or other clinical discipline or have acquired equivalent experience (5 years).  
• Technical knowledge of server administration and network operations to aid in problem resolutions and system updates.
