POSITION SUMMARY Sonaca North America is currently seeking an entry-level Accountant. The responsibilities of this position will change every six to twelve months, allowing the Accountant to gain a general understanding of Sonaca North America’s business and various accounting and finance specialties. These specialties include the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, General Ledger and Financial Analysis functions of the finance and accounting team. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Learn and execute effectively and accurately all related tasks of each assigned specialty. Identify and attempt to resolve issues as they are incurred in all tasks, transactions, reconciliations, and analysis. Look for and communicate areas for process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Support implementation of process improvements in all functions. Travel Required Limited EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Excellent PC skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. Must be able to promote a participative, team-oriented environment, working with customers (both internal and external), all employees, vendors, and others in a professional and respectful manner. Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret accounting procedures and rules Ability to write reports, business correspondence, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and vendors. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, accounting and financial calculations and projections.
