Part-time Custodian

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities. This is a crucial role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report them to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events as needed
- Follow established safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and hygiene standards

Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques for maintaining cleanliness
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or prolonged standing/walking
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to interact with coworkers and supervisors
