The role
As an Associate Underwriter, you will be dedicated to assisting the team in maintaining efficient underwriting processes and providing customer services to clients. The role will involve the crafting, review and issuance of policy documents and proposals. The position will work alongside the underwriting team to develop the network of production within the NorthEast Territory. You will be highly organised and comfortable building relationships and working with all levels of the firm. Stakeholder management and communication will be vital to the success of the role. This position requires a self-driven, high-energy, professional who’s passionate about disrupting an industry and wants to be rewarded for their performance and contributions.
Key responsibilities
Support the underwriting team in the delivery of an effective and efficient administration service
Provide pre-underwriting and rating support to Underwriters and other team members
Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Loadsure’s portal. Specifically checking agreed percentages of risk entries as required
Data verification, integrity and accuracy
Support Underwriters to establish support needs for renewals and/or new business policies
Liaising with claims, finance, compliance and engineering etc on matters affecting or related to accounts within the portfolio
Help maintain team standards through supporting other team members in achieving their service/quality levels and targets as required
Provided accurate management information to the senior management team and underwriters
Produce ad-hoc reports, presentations and marketing literature for senior managers, underwriters and other members of staff as requested.
Provide a professional service to brokers in person, writing, email and telephone
Maintain and develop key relationships including brokers and external clients, responding to client queries in an accurate and timely fashion
Attend client meetings as required
