The Role:
User Acceptance Tester (UAT) is responsible for making sure that the software is performing and behaving in the way that it was intended and designed. The UAT is the first line of defense to problems in the software. They are problem solvers and solution seekers. UAT is both responsible to find new imperfections in the software, as well as groom and confirm bug reports from various intake sources. They find the imperfections as reported, or read bug reports and groom/tweak the report to be the true problem. They then work with the developer to resolve the task and confirm the resolution of the task if it fits in-line with business and user expectations. They also are responsible to complete all smoke testing (specific list of items/features to test) items that are assigned to them pre and post deployment are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

What You’ll Do
- Locate and problem solve bugs in the software
- Log, track, and manage defects from creation to resolution
- Independently own a work stream, reviewing software behavior as it relates to product/business designs
- Prioritizes and manages the level of urgency given to bugs in the software
- Provides/lists effective root cause analysis to the reported or identified bug in the software
- Coaches/guides develops on the root cause and solutions to the problem by setting up case uses and communicates the current and desired behavior of the issue at hand
- Confirms once a bug is reported as fixed, is actually fixed according to the expected business behavior of the listed bug
- Works with the Product Team to provide feedback and suggestions to make the software more efficient, productive, and user friendly to the customers
- Ability to find and discern relevant data from a given string of information provided by Account Managers and/or Customers. Then use the pertinent information to determine if bugs written are expected behavior or a misunderstanding of the software

What We Look For
- Preferred experience of 1 year(s) in any of the following:
- Prior working experience with Software QA
- Prior working experience with Software UAT
- Prior working experience with Tier 3 advanced technical support for software
- Prior working experience with software product design
- Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent four-year degree in Computer Science
- Preferred prior course completions:
- Programming Fundamentals
- Object Oriented Programming
- Scripting Languages
- Emerging Technologies
- Client Side Web Development
- Web Design and Usability
- Database Administration
