The Role
We are seeking an experienced professional with in-depth specialty knowledge and commercial loan industry expertise, who can support our clients’ private credit loan servicing needs and contribute to the development and improvement of LoanStreet’s product offering as well as to the objectives of the overall team and business. The Loan Servicing Associate faces customers directly and prioritizes delivering an excellent experience, using strong communication and diplomacy skills, while simultaneously managing complex information and dynamic situations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with operational experience to gain exposure to and experience with the full life-cycle of the product development process.
Responsibilities
- Participating in and supporting the implementation of new customer onboardings within a complex loans operation environment. Work closely with customers and their loan docs and data to ensure loans are onboarded and supported properly within our software solution.
- Contributing to all aspects of the software development process including requirements, testing, documentation and ongoing feedback to improve the overall solution
- Ongoing client support; responding to questions on loan transactions, managing escalations, investigations and timely resolution of all inquiries, as well as providing proactive client communications.
- Managing complex issues, where expertise and judgment are required to interpret loan documents, policies, industry standards, guidelines and/or processes.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of how the loan servicing function contributes to achieving overall business goals.
- Fostering strong, effective relationships with clients, colleagues, management, and stakeholders, seeking to understand needs and providing solutions
Qualifications:
- 3 years relevant experience
- Client facing/customer service experience
- Solid understanding of commercial loan industry and business standards and practices. Bonus points for experience with Private Credit practices and loan types (PIK, Unitranche etc.)
- Able to work well independently, under pressure and multi-task with a sense of urgency
- Experience and facility with Microsoft Excel
- Proactive to escalate issues and drive change on process
- Able to meet tight deadlines and deliver results
- Able to collaborate with team members effectively within and outside of own team
- Passion for technology and for being a part of fast-growing FinTech company
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
