Job Title: Technical Sales Lead – Mechanical Systems
Department: Sales
 
Summary Maintains and grows business/relationships with current customers by managing production sales on several key customer accounts.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
 
  1. Manage quoting efforts with assigned customers.  Interface with customer service, cost estimating, customer relations managers and customer.
  2. Contract Management (RFQ, PO, ECN revisions, etc.) with assigned customers.
  3. Ensure BOM’s and Specifications are properly loaded into Plex, and drawings stored in appropriate drives.
  4. Commercially support Program Management during all program launches for assigned customers.
  5. Manage and resolve customer concerns to prevent escalation to Loc Sr. Management.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive business growth.
  7. Serve as the liaison between key customers and internal teams.  Work closely with the Directors of Business Development, plant Customer Relations Managers and Cost Estimating.   
  8. Organically grow existing business with assigned customers.
  9. Prepare regular monthly sales reports that include revenue, backlog, past due and projections/forecasts for internal use.
  10. Support the implementation of Long-Term Agreements (LTA’s) with customers on products you support.
  11. Work with Accounts Receivable to support collection of delinquent account dollars.
  12. Increase knowledge of vehicle and product platforms that Loc supports.
  13. Research competitors and determine the market impact.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year College or university and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Engineering background preferred.
 
CRM and ERP system experience is required.  Must be proficient at reading drawings and understand GD&T.
 
Five years of experience working at a manufacturer of highly engineered alloyed products is highly desirable.
 
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
