Accounting Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting, financial analysis, and general ledger accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company
• Manage client accounts and payment schedules; generates invoices
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Perform general ledger accounting and reconcile accounts
• Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Handle payroll functions as required by organization
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Stay up-to-date on financial concepts, regulations, and industry trends
• Manage client accounts and payment schedules
• Maintain current CRM and CMS system
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Accounting Specialist experience
• QuickBooks experience required
• CPA certification preferred
• Proven experience in financial management and accounting
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of CRM and CMS systems
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
• Knowledge of private equity and securities law is a plus
