What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil CAD Technician position at Lochmueller Group?
We are looking for talented Engineering Design Technician to join our Roadway Design team in Edwardsville or St. Louis. Our Transportation Department consists of a diverse group of talented civil engineers and design professionals who are involved in a variety of projects including designing roadways and bridges for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

\n- Produce drawings in Civil 3D for projects pertaining to design plans for road, bridge, site development, right of way, etc.
- Read and interpret schematic and construction plans.
- Perform quantity calculations (trigonometry) as directed.
- Perform related work as required.
- High School Diploma/GED with specialized training in design or another closely related field; Associate’s degree in a design related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with MicroStation or AutoCAD; MicroStation proficiency is preferred
- Experience developing and/or reviewing utility relocation designs is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
