We are looking for an experienced Utility Coordinator to join our Roadway/Highway Engineering team. In this role, you will perform the critical task of coordinating utilities for roadway and highway design projects. This role is essential to ensuring smooth collaboration between all stakeholders, avoiding delays, and keeping projects on track by addressing utility-related challenges early in the design phase. Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Performs utility coordination activities for a variety of state and local public agency projects
- Serves as a liaison between utility companies and other project stakeholders.
- Reviews project plans, identifies potential conflicts, and develops utility relocation plans, schedules and timelines.
- Reviews cost estimates and prepare budgets for utility relocation.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all utility coordination activities on assigned projects
- May perform other duties associated with the role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related field; a high school diploma or GED with relevant utility coordination experience will be considered.
- Must have relevant experience developing and/or reviewing utility relocation designs
- Working knowledge of engineering software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
