As a Senior Accountant at Locke Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks including daily cash management, receivables processing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communications with clients and co-workers.

Successful Key Results for the Senior Accountant:

1. Manage daily cash receipts and payments, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation.
2. Generate and distribute receivables invoices promptly and accurately.

1. Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
2. Manage the budgeting process, monitor budget variances, and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
3. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
4. Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
6. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
7. Supervise Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
8. Spearhead process improvement projects to find efficiencies in accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
• Conduct financial analyses and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee or perform the reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax filings.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards and assess their impact on the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
