Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Flight Test seeks a motivated candidate to join the core Flight Test Team in the Fort Worth Instrumentation Strain Gage Lab.
The selected candidate will be responsible for: working as part of the engineering team that leads the lab which installs strain gages on Flight test articles, as well as F-35 production strain gages, and ground test gages; assisting with scheduling work coming through the lab and laying out work to be performed; coordination as part of a team with operational bases, depots, and flight test centers for repairs and/or installation of strain gages; the development and writing of material and process specifications for various Strain Gage or Temp Sensor applications; coordination with all Engineering disciplines affected by Strain Gage similar activities; providing information related to the reporting of issues and/or results to upper management and/or the customer; assisting in the development and overseeing the execution of Strain Gage installations and their interface with Flight Test and Ground Test data systems; willing to travel and support offsite repairs and installations of Strain Gages (Stateside and International). This position will also support the Instrumentation Engineering lab activities by: Assisting in Package Checkout activities across all programs within the IRAC Lab as required; Support the FTI Transducer Selection and Calibration operations in cooperation with the Metrology organization; Support configuration and development activities on IRAC Lab Computers, including configuration and SW development (LabVIEW) as required; Support configuration and troubleshooting of FTI Laptop computers as required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Experience with repair and/or replacement of strain gages.
• Experience with customer and supplier interaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Engineering Lab measuring/electronic equipment.
Desired Skills:
• Applicant should be able to support complex customer and supplier interactions, and should be capable of working with customers that require assistance for repair or replacement of strain gages, or fellow employees who need Strain Gage installation expertise.
• Ability to work in a union environment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Good communication skills.
