Your Mission is Ours.This Summer 2024 intern position contributes to the overall SBIRS Ground Segment Hardware Engineering and Systems Engineering (HWE/SE) Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the responsible Hardware Engineer on a variety of projects. The successful candidate will have experience/knowledge of Physics or Calculus from coursework, Microsoft Office applications, and assembling and disassembling mechanical devices. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:Enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.1 year completed of Physics and Calculus.Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. Comfortable using tools to assemble and disassemble mechanical devices. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: Part-Time as assigned by leaderPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $20,904 - $67,288. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
