In Operations Engineering, you will join a close-knit team of Operations Engineering (OE) and Industrial Engineering (IE) professionals, working together to shape the future of OE/Operations Excellence/Continuous Improvement at our Site.

From how we reduce waste from our processes and procedures, to improving the OE training and function overall, this opportunity presents the unique challenge for someone who enjoys using their expertise to implement large-scale positive changes.

In this role, your foundational expertise in Operations Engineering and passion for making things better, are both vital to the mission as you ultimately aim to improve the overall IE/OE function at our site.

A Day in the Life:
With the opportunity to inspire from an individual contributor capacity, your direct hands-on technical knowledge coupled with your desire will come in helpful as you are empowered to drive and facilitate continuous improvement on products, systems, operations, and processes throughout the site.

You will be a part of our Operations Engineering team's success by collaborating with Industrial Engineering and beyond, all working together to support our customers’ missions. Shape, grow, and most significantly, make your own mark, by improving the overall OE function at our site.
On any given day, you will also make an impact by:

• Analyzing current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate as to how to improve business and manufacturing processes.
• Leading and facilitating lean improvements activities; looking at safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and efficiency.
• Taking the initiative to seek out improvement activities on the floor and drive schedule and cost improvements
• Aero-wide, Site-wide OpEx Initiatives
• Executing Big Ticket Improvement Projects
• Coaching & Developing OE Team – Core OE Skills
• Continuously Developing & Improving OE Standard Work

This position is in Santa Rosa, CA
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or higher education from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education

-Experience applying continuous improvement or lean concepts in a production environment (e.g. Process Mapping, Causing Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, Error Proofing, Process Standardization, Waste Elimination, & Data Analysis)
-Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, per business requirements
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor of science or technical degree in industrial or other engineering area.

•Can competently communicate at all levels of the organization, including non-technical team members

• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles & implementing continuous improvements with demonstrated results

• Proficiency with computer systems & data wrangling

• Change Management experience

• Proficiency with software including MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Visio, & Tableau
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
