Description:This position is a Product Lead role supporting our Sustainment efforts and several commodity areas in Chelmsford, MA. The Product Lead role leads our NAVSUP product line and provides direction, coordination, communication, and leadership to cross-functional teams to ensure the site meets/exceeds quality, cost, and schedule business objectives. Additionally, this role will act as the Product Lead for the Laser and Paint Rooms, working with supervision to balance the priorities of all programs through the area, and with the cross functional team to resolve issues. This role provides the primary direction, communication, and leadership to the internal team to ensure the site meets/exceeds quality, cost, and schedule business objectives, and is the primary interface between Chelmsford operations and the Navy customer. The incumbent will lead and facilitate production line teams, foster teamwork, and direct teams with respect to product planning, problem resolution and process improvement and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Understands and performs a variety of cross-functional manufacturing operations including production planning and scheduling, use of SAP/MRP systems, quality management systems, manufacturing/process engineering, and material/manpower management. Acts as both Product Manager and Product Lead for the effort. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. The incumbent monitors, reports, and provides performance status and progress to team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and also an interim secret prior to start.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Team lead or project lead experience in cross-functional production environments
Desired Skills:
• Production Supervisor experience, Production Scheduler experience, or IE Experience
• LSS Greenbelt Certified
• PMT Lead Experience
• Knowledge or experience in continuous improvement and cost reduction and affordability
• Self-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
