Seeking an experienced digital physical design engineer to join an integrated circuit design team working in a <20nm finFET process. The successful candidate should be confident leading chip top physical implementation and integration efforts while supporting development, design, test, and release to production of advanced integrated circuit solutions for aerospace, missile and radar applications. Candidate should be able to collaborate with engineers at multiple remote sites effectively – candidate should be expected to work daily with digital and analog engineers for implementation of module-level and top-level work products driving towards a successful chip tape-out. The successful candidate will interact with project leadership throughout the entire product development cycle and will interface with customers, various engineering disciplines, vendors and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:
• Secret plus 6 year background investigation (S-6)
• 9-11 years of recent, professional experience in Digital Physical Implementation or relevant technical field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Desired Skills:
• Hands-on experience in place & route, constraint generation, static timing analysis, and physical verification (LVS/DRC). Direct tape-out experience (PnR, STA, DFT/DFX, DRC/ERC/LVS)
• Experience with EDA tools (synthesis, place and route, static timing analysis, physical verification, signal integrity, voltage analysis). Synopsys tool suite is a plus.
• Knowledge of HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog) and Scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, YAML and Skill
• Knowledge of DFT/DFM/DFX concepts
• Knowledge/hands on experience with custom layout design desired
• Experience with module and chip level implementation
