-In this mission critical role, the engineer will have the opportunity to develop, architect, document and support telemetry applications that incorporate all or parts of a Data Encoder.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to architect, design trades & high speed PWBs / PCBs
-The engineer will have the opportunity to perform card / system level systems and subsystems integration
-Some interaction with suppliers and the Customer are expected along with occasional travel to the off-site Production facilities are anticipated.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to work on and collaborate with cross functional teams with other engineering disciplines.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to attend industry conferences and to keep up-to-date on related industry best practices and technological advancements.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida, and SeaWorld. Orlando is also home to the second largest University in the US, the University of Central Florida (UCF). Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. Basic Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a concentration circuit card design with relevant experience is required.
-Previous experience with architecture, design trades & high speed PWB/PCB
-Previous experience with card/system level integration
-Ability to translate system level flowed down requirements into electrical requirements / implementation
-The ability to generate clear, concise test plans, test reports, analysis reports
-Must have a Secret security clearance.
-Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills are required.
-An active secret security clearance is required.
Desired Skills:-Experience with missile guidance section electrical assemblies including batteries, ISD, CAS, and networks is desired.
-Experience supporting procurement for buy items is desired.
-The ability to read Verilog Programmable logic code to support integration is desired.
-Process Improvement and Affordability experience
-Self-Starter Personality is desired
-The ability to multitask is desired.
-Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking is desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
