A Claims Assistant is responsible for providing a white-glove concierge claim service within the HNW sector. Their duties include obtaining loss details from clients, reporting claims to carriers, and advocating on behalf of the client throughout the entirety of a claim. A Claims Assistant is a liaison for all communication between clients, carriers, and vendors and must be able to work with different types of personalities.
Claims Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather loss details from clients via email or phone call.
- Provide clients with claim expectations.
- Investigate and review policies from multiple international carriers for coverage.
- Shepherd a claim from beginning to end. This includes filing a claim and obtaining frequent status updates to make sure the claim is moving forward in a timely manner and to the most advantageous outcome for the client.
- Proactively keep the client acquainted with the current status of their claim.
- Schedule vendor services (e.g. rental car drop off/pick up, home remediation, etc.).
- Be confident and professional with all matters, while showing our clients empathy.
- Document all communication and enter it into the company interface.
- Build relationships with adjusters, vendors, and fellow associates.
