This role will support managing the planning, development, testing, and execution of internal control monitoring activities across the organization. This shall involve, but is not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating professionalism and competence in the client’s environment
- Fostering an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment
- Executing the day-to-day accounting and audit activities of the engagement and conducting fieldwork daily
- Gathering audit related data
- Demonstrating awareness and knowledge of Federal Government’s financial and management responsibilities
Requirements:
- Zero to eight (0 to 8) years of experience working on financial statement audits and supporting audit response, audit remediation, IT-audit, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and/or relevant OMB policies within Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000) employees
- Assisting in drafting and preparing project deliverables
- Utilizing technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with Federal Government and/or DoD clients
- Experience using advanced features of MS Word and MS Excel
- CPA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM certification
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Security Clearance:
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
