Description
Machine Operator will be responsible for operating various machines in the plant. Work closely and give direction to helpers within their unit. The Machine Operator should enjoy working in a fast-past environment and have the ability to constantly remain proactive. This is an important role in a very BUSY and FAST-PACED manufacturing company!
- Ability to operated machinery
- Understanding of work orders
- Set up Machine with correct Product
- Inspect work product for defects utilizing tape measures and other instruments
- Observe machine operation to detect machine malfunctions, and adjusting machine as necessary
- Must communicate effectively with co-workers
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse working environment
- Follow the company’s safety standards
- Report errors to the responsible manager/lead
- To carry out all activities in a manner that promotes safety to yourself and your colleagues
- Participate actively in continuous process improvement
- Provide training to peers when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting, and experience operating machinery
- Fluent in English and capable of effectively communicating with co-workers
- Experience operating forklift
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Capable of maintaining an organized work area
- Must be self-motivated and proactive
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and work independently
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
