Position Overview

As our Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager, you will be responsible

For developing detailed electrical estimates and managing these projects through final completion.

Position Responsibilities

· Actively pursue bid opportunities for construction related projects

· Prepare change orders, quotes, assist in estimating, perform bid analysis on each bid completed; Coordinate bid reviews with operations

· Perform advanced takeoffs, read, and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create bids

· Coordinate and ensure complete and appropriate communication to all project stakeholders throughout each project, including regular status reports, updating bid board, accurate and detailed bid presentations and assisting with RFQ’s

· Help to build and maintain relationships with contractors and customers

· Develop pricing throughout all phases of the design process and be able to convert budgets into a final bid product

· Issue and track RFI’s and change orders

· Keep field and office staff up to date on changes

· Help ensure that projects are being built in accordance with the current National Electrical Code

· Oversee materials submittals and procurement

· Attending project meetings as required

· Track costs for each project

· Manage multiple projects from estimating through final completion

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction, Building Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum five years experience as a Commercial Electrical Estimator
• Must have project management experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills, and Estimating software, bid software
• Deep understanding of electrical construction bid processes
• Proficient understanding of construction processes
• Strong organizational skills, set timelines and assist in coordinating pricing
• Must be detailed oriented with excellent analytical skills
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities and work well under pressure
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
