Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. This position requires a strong passion for animals and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
-Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Provide grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming for pets
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the veterinary facility
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, treatments, and procedures
- Assist with animal care duties including feeding, walking, and exercising
- Handle animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Demonstrate knowledge of animal physiology and husbandry practices

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical records management
- Experience in pet grooming is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Pay: From $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
