What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Coordinator position at Logan Mingo Area Mental?
This position will be located at the administrative offices of LMAMH, at the Fountain Place office in Logan, WV.
POSITION PURPOSE:
This employee should possess the ability to quickly and accurately key electronic claims submissions, post electronic payments, and meet a quota deemed necessary by the manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work directly with staff to ensure payment on all billing.- Analyze all rejections received from the clearinghouse and work with staff to correct any problems.
- Monitor all denials and analyze if it’s an internal or external issue, then work with staff to correct any problems.
- Work directly with the clearinghouse and insurance companies to ensure that all claims are being submitted and all remittance are being received electronically.
- Monitor all insurance payments to ensure that LMAMH is reimbursed the correct amount.
- Monitor insurance aging and keep accounts receivable from going into 60 days.
- Credential LMAMH and all providers with Medicaid, commercial insurance, and all MCO’s.
- Run end of month reports for Management Review.
- Meet with Director of Finance weekly and give updated on any problems and resolutions.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Enter data electronically into clinical recordkeeping and billing systems, and record all events involving consumers of LMAMH on a daily basis.
