TITLE: Team Leader (Evenings and Weekends)
REPORTS TO: Group Living Director
STATUS: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the overall leadership and management of the program. The Team Leader is responsible for leading the development of their teams to ensure on going safety, structure and management of the day-to-day dorm activities. Work in association with the Group Living Director to ensure the proper development, implementation and evaluation of group living programming for the staff and students.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
1. Develops positive relationships with students in accordance with established LRA Policy and procedure.
2. Displays a positive, supportive, and professional approach and attitude.
3. Coaches and motivates staff to desired objectives utilizing commendations, communication logs, coaching forms, and corrective actions as needed, which are documented and put in the personnel files and utilized as effective management tools. Hands-on OTMSS with Senior mentors and mentors.
4. Assists in the development and daily implementation of recreation, leisure activities, chores, meals, groups, and overall program schedule.
5. Oversees the hiring, training, and development of Senior Mentors and mentors.
6. Conducts performance evaluations with Senior Mentors. Identify areas for individual and team improvement and ensure proper training is received.
7. Can recognize potential behavioral problems and address issues before students become escalated or assist in de-escalating ensuring safety.
8. Monitors and participates in dorm activities and ensures that program schedules are followed.
9. Conducts or attends daily pre-shift meetings to ensure the proper flow of information and proper staffing.
10. Ensures the bi-weekly staff schedule is completed in advance, taking into consideration non-school days, projected census, activities, ratio, training, PTO requests, holidays, etc. For all non-academic coverage 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.
11. Responsible for overall safety and security of students and facilities. Takes proactive measures to identify and address safety concerns.
12. Ensures all notifications of allegations or incidents are reported to GLD, Ex Dir, and as directed. Ensures completion of occurrence reports or internal incident reports.
13. Actively participates in monthly treatment team meetings to address the progress of residents.
14. Track time and attendance daily of all staff, including requested/ approved time off, call-offs, tardies, etc.
15. Conducts frequent physical checks on each dorm team to ensure 1:4 ratios are being met, and manages by walking around.

14. Reviews critical incidents and participates in root-cause analysis as requested by the Compliance Officer.
15. Supports and promotes the LRA values of diversity, equity and inclusion for all staff and students.
16. Greets all visitors, parents and reviewers with a smile and the utmost respect.
17. Models ethical behavior when resolving misunderstandings, disagreements and conflicts.
18. Contributes to long-term planning; promotes collection of Outcome data; and supports CQI initiatives.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. HS Diploma/ bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. One year of employee management experience.
3. Strong communication skills: Listening, Speaking and De-escalation.
4. One year plus of working in a mental/behavioral health setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
a. Trained and able to safely manage student behaviors when hands-on is required.
b. Frequent and clear communication, both verbal and written, with team members and employees
c. Short periods of running.
Salary : $37,100 - $46,900
