Job Description
Logic 20/20 is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our awesome Agile organization. As an RTE, you will play a critical role in facilitating and coordinating Agile Release Trains (ARTs), ensuring the successful delivery of value to our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other RTEs, promoting Agile principles and SAFe practices throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs), ensuring the smooth execution of Program Increments (PIs) and the delivery of value to customers.
- Organize and lead key ART events, including PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops, System Demos, and Scrum of Scrums.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments that may impact the ART's delivery, escalating issues when necessary.
- Foster collaboration and alignment among Agile teams, stakeholders, and other ARTs, ensuring clear communication and effective decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement by helping the ART identify areas for improvement and implementing appropriate changes to enhance team performance.
- Work with the Agile coach or coaches to mentor scrum masters, product owners, and Agile team members, while promoting adherence to Agile principles and SAFe practices.
- Track and report ART performance using key performance indicators (KPIs or OKRs), providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with system and solution architects to maintain architectural runway and ensure technical and architectural alignment.
- Coordinate with other RTEs within the organization to share best practices, learnings, and address common challenges.
- Contribute to the organization's Lean-Agile transformation by promoting and implementing SAFe principles and practices at scale
- This role is primarily remote, but travel may be required approx. once per quarter
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience as an agile coach or release train engineer at a leading consulting firm
- Strong familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies and techniques
- Experience facilitating and leading Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions
- Passion for process improvement--you will improve workflows within the Agile Release Train and assist the product owner by managing risks, dependencies, and roadblocks
- Excellent presentation, coaching, and leadership skills; ability to enable cohesion between the developer teams and product manager
- Undergraduate degree in technology or business
- Scrum master and/or agile coaching certifications are preferred
- Experience in the utilities industry is preferred
