The Job in a Nutshell:  

Our growing Operations Development department is looking to add an experienced Business Analyst to the team in order to bridge the gap between business and development. A Business Analyst writes requirements clearly and depicts business processes in a manner that is easily understood. Previous experience with business writing and process modeling is a must. You will work directly with the software development team to ensure that both business stakeholders and developers understand and agree on deliverables. This is a new role for our Operations Development team, and you will be critical in establishing these new processes, policies, and standards.

What You Will Love Doing:  

• Facilitating and leading meetings with business stakeholders to gather, discuss and prioritize requirements for new software development or system changes
• Ensuring that project requirements are accurately identified and documented, business needs are defined, and any assumptions or limitations are documented
• Creating an effective channel of communication between business leaders, project managers, and software/application developers, ensuring project clarity throughout product design, implementation, and acceptance
• Ensuring smooth adoption of new and modified products by preparing technical documentation assisting assigned business units with informing users of workflow changes and new features
• Meeting with stakeholders as required to understand business requirements and develop process flows
• Assisting in the construction of an enterprise data dictionary as part of a master data management strategy
• Assisting in the development of reporting on development capacity, velocity, and work in progress tasks
• Coordinating with the Operations Development team to identify potential improvements in products through data analysis and produce reports for leadership on product impact
• Providing the business perspective in stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives
• Leading and participating in the improvement process for Operations Development projects
• Using Business process Modeling tools, create documentation depicting process and data flows

To Fit the Bill:  

• 3+ years of experience in a business analyst role
• Familiarity with software development life cycle
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), preferred
• Experience in gathering details from typically non-technical users to form system requirements
• Ability to depict how a business process works using flow charts, diagrams, or other constructs
• Strong familiarity with agile development processes in a software development environment
• Strong familiarity with project management methodologies
• Familiarity with Business Process Modeling tools and their use in rapid application development
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Systematic problem-solving approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship 

To Score Extra Points:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
• Familiarity with business processes such as billing, sales, funnel, expense management
