Job Responsibilities
- Provide services within Huntsville, Alabama geographic territory and serve as technician.
- Necessitates travel to perform installations, some remote work, limited day-to-day oversight.
- Provides installation, testing, turn up and troubleshooting of VoIP equipment and maintaining all database associated with VoIP product offerings.
- Maintain current network and equipment and design/implement new voice offerings.
- Proficient in VoIP and TDM voice services.
- Study customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Install/maintain voice and data equipment in customer locations.
- Maintain equipment used in VoIP network.
- Collaborate closely with other technical personnel to maintain the network’s integrity.
- Provide superior customer service by pro-actively interacting and communicating with customers daily. Coordinate with customers to resolve any issues and be proactive in trying to eliminate outages and make improvements.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and other companies to test new products and maintain current network.
- Maintains safe work environment by following codes, safety protocol, and industry standards.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must have a clean driving history (no DUI's, other infractions considered).
- Must have strong familiarity with data cabling infrastructures and installation and troubleshooting.
- Must understand CAT5/5E/6 connectivity and installations.
- Knowledge of industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through, excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete work effectively with little or no direction.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written and proficient in English.
- Ability to organize, manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
- Willingness to solve complicated problems.
- Understanding of company products, services, and policies.
- Access to a fast-reliable internet network.
- Access to a quiet workplace free of background noise and distractions.
- Windows 10 Computer with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Good functioning headset.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
- Trade School Certifications/Trainings preferred.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in the field or in a related field.
- Strong understanding telecommunications and Voice over IP fundamentals.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Work Location:
Huntsville, Alabama; Cullman, Alabama; Corinth, Mississippi; Iuka, Mississippi.
