Overview

We are seeking a HIGHLY MOTIVATED self-starter who is versatile and can work efficiently and accurately as a Diesel Maintenance Technician.

If you can Inspect, repair, maintain and interpret diagnostic test results, on diesel-powered vehicles and machines i.e.

trucks, forklifts, trailers, and to include hydraulic systems then this is the right opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Your new responsibilities

  • Install machinery and equipment.
  • Repair, maintain and test machinery and mechanical equipment such as diesel / gasoline engines, yard trucks, forklifts, trailers, and paper clamps.
  • Perform scheduled / unscheduled repairs on equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Observe all OSHA and facility safety regulations, including use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain work areas.

Qualifications

You have the right qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • At least three years of experience as a Diesel Maintenance Technician.
  • Must possess your own basic tool set (socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, etc.).
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard instructions, short correspondences and memos, including safety, instructional and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • A team player.
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility to obtain a TWIC card through the Federal Transportation Security Administration.
