Overview
LMI is seeking a Senior DEIA Consultant at our headquarters office in Tysons, VA. The position is to assist National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in developing and implementing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) objectives and initiatives to enhance DEIA across the Agency. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to analyze and organize DEIA data, clarify observations, and confirm expectations, develop strategic actions, and brief executive leadership on recommended implementation to achieve DEIA strategy. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and can communicate their strategic vision. They also need to be a professional, highly organized, and detail-oriented self-starter who takes initiative. The Senior Consultant is responsible for providing solutions and integration support across all areas of DEIA strategy and implementation development. This position will be located at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC with remote tele-working options. Candidates must be able to pass background checks and/or obtain a security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities
- Guide and integrate diverse stakeholder requirements into a holistic functional requirement for DEIA across the organization.
- Provide strategic vision, guidance, and recommendations for DEIA strategy implementation and integration into organization operations.
- Work collaboratively across task areas to ensure the DEIA strategic priorities comply with EO 14035.
- Partner with stakeholder groups, facilitate understanding, and make recommendations to enhance DEIA outreach, recruitment strategies, and implementation governance.
- Provide planning implementation support by leading coordination of DEIA training resources.
- Develop policy statements and guidance in support of DEIA program requirements. Aid federal Program Manager to develop DEIA task responses to senior Agency and Department leadership.
- Lead preparation of executive level DEIA briefings.
- Actively develop positive relationships with program leaders, positioning self as a trusted expert in DEIA strategy and programs.
- Continuously look for opportunities to provide additional support to the client and identifying opportunities to expand business.
Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of work experience in the related area.
- Minimum of five years experience developing and/or implementing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility strategies and programs.
- Minimum of three years of experience with DEIA recruitment, hiring, promotion, and retention planning and implementation (as defined in EO 14035).
- Expert knowledge of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) requirements
- Experience overseeing, developing, and managing complex DEIA projects or programs, such as diversity strategy development, DEIA implementation, DEIA policy and guidance development, diversity outreach and recruitment plans and implementation, and DEIA analysis and metrics to measure overall progress and effectiveness of DEIA actions.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed (work is currently virtual until further notice)
PREFERRED:
- Master’s degree with 10 years of work experience in the related area.
