Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager to join our growing team. As the Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable and credit functions, ensuring that all customer accounts are managed efficiently and effectively.
You will play a crucial role in maximizing cash flow and minimizing risk by overseeing the management of customer accounts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and developing and implementing credit policies and procedures.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the accounts receivable function, including customer billing, collections, and cash applications
- Developing and implementing credit policies and procedures, including credit checks and credit limits
- Conducting credit investigations and analyzing credit risk
- Evaluating and monitoring customer creditworthiness
- Approving or denying credit applications based on established criteria
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers
- Within this role, you will also focus on cross-functional operations within accounts receivable, including training and streamlining processes.
- Maintain merchant accounts and streamline payment processing.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Sales & Production Departments and Executive Team to ensure alignment between the departments.
- Addressing customer disputes and managing delinquent accounts
- Ensure timely processing of customer payments, credit memos and deductions.
- Effective management of aged receivables and AR write-offs.
- Providing regular reporting and analysis of accounts receivable performance
- Supervising and managing the accounts receivable and credit team of 5 employees.
The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in credit and collections management
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written)
- A proven track record of success in managing accounts receivable and credit functions (Promotional Products industry experience a plus)
- Superb organization skills, attention to detail and prioritizing ability.
- Proficiency with accounting software (ERP & CRM) and credit analysis software.
- Ability to use good judgment in sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, exempt position in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Salary range: Starting at $115,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
