As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring a preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and executing work orders assigned to you. Your expertise will be crucial in the safe and efficient performance of trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and more. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in maintaining and repairing various equipment, ensuring optimal functionality throughout the hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
2. Maintain regular attendance as per the scheduling requirements, adapting to the dynamic needs of the hotel.
3. Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, aligning with our uniform standards to maintain a professional image.
4. Ensure compliance with Logos and Brand regulations, promoting a safe and efficient environment for hotel operations.
5. Collaborate with the team to operate, maintain, and repair equipment, ensuring its optimal functionality.
6. Perform preventative maintenance tasks in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-ups, painting, minor furniture repairs, tub caulking, tile repairs, and more.
7. Execute preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool, and hot tub.
8. Conduct plumbing repairs, address laundry equipment issues, and perform preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems. Monitor energy conservation efforts and promptly repair small equipment as requested.
9. Respond immediately to alarms, determine their location and cause, and assess emergency situations. Report findings to the Manager on Duty.
10. Embrace additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the operations.

Qualifications:
1. Preferred experience in a hotel or related field, demonstrating your familiarity with the unique demands of the hospitality industry.
2. High School diploma or equivalent is required to ensure a solid foundation for this role.
3. Licensure in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is highly desirable, showcasing your specialized skills and knowledge.
