The Opportunity
We're seeking several technical instructors to join our Training Operations Team to deliver technical product training that enables our customers to get the most out of our products. We also aim to provide our managed services partners with the knowledge and skills to support their LogRhythm customers. This training ranges from fundamental product usage and analyst enablement to product deployment and troubleshooting with coding languages such as regex. We're focused on building our team's capability to deliver a consistent training experience with a very structured and thorough Train-the-Trainer (TTT) Program. You will work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment to learn the product, deliver scheduled training virtually and in-person, develop learning bite content, update Instructor-led Training (ILT) content, and working as a subject matter expert (SME) with the Courseware Development Team.
Responsibilities:
40% - Training Delivery
- Deliver LogRhythm SIEM product training classes. These classes range from 1 day to 3 days in length, but you'll typically be teaching for 5 days a week. These classes range from fundamental introduction to the product and functionality to advanced regex code creation.
- Perform training using a virtual machine as your primary presentation tool. You will have slides, exercise guides, and instructor guides for additional support.
- Review exercises with students and address student concerns.
- Order virtual machine labs for students and complete access code matrices.
- Mark attendance in Cornerstone (Saba) LMS.
- Monitor Training Communication Channels for student contact during class.
- Send introductory emails to students prior to class with meeting link for virtual trainings.
35% - Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- You will serve as a full-time subject matter expert in support of our courseware developers on a rotational basis along with two other instructors.
- You will be responsible for or involved in the following during your rotation:
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to our courseware development team.
- Manage the training VM environment for accuracy, updates, and content relation.
- Attend courseware development project meetings and provide updates on given tasks.
- Attend product development and release management meetings to provide input for courseware development projects.
- Quality assurance activities.
15% - Qualification Attainment and Maintenance
- Attend all LogRhythm Instructor-led Trainings (ILT) and complete the associated certifications as applicable.
- Complete our rigorous Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program.
- Complete a curated curriculum of CBT content to ensure an understanding of the content contained therein so that you know and can make recommendations to students.
- Stay up to date on product improvements and release notes to incorporate this new content into your classes.
- Shadow Professional Services and Support engineers for more customer facing experience and knowledge gain.
- Complete additional CBT content as it is released.
10% - Content Curation and Creation
- Version updating of our existing ILT courseware.
- Identify the ILT course material that will change with software releases.
- Update ILT course material with changed content.
- You will have a deliverable quota of training bite content. This content could be in video, Community post, job aid, etc. format. This will be internal and/or external facing content and needs to be presentable as such.
- Review Release Notes and product changes to identify areas of change that will impact current ILT course material.
- You may perform accuracy and quality assurance on certain courses.

Minimum Qualifications (Must Haves):
- Excellent/fluent spoken and written English with a special talent for communicating complex ideas to varied audiences
- SIEM or SOC Analyst experience
- Security Admin or Firewall Admin experience
- Windows and Linux admin experience
- Database management experience
- Network admin experience
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively
Highly Desired Qualifications (Key Discriminators):
- Experience performing technical instruction for adult audiences
- Software coding/programming expertise
- Network certification or in Progress
- Security certification or in progress
- SQL DB management experience

Salary:
The annual starting salary for this position is between 80-90k Annually depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
